Dr. Yeonho Jeong
The Power Electronics Laboratory at the University of Rhode Island (URI), part of the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering, is seeking applications for a Ph.D. student position starting in the Fall of 2024 or Spring of 2025.
Position Summary: As a Ph.D. student in our Power Electronics Laboratory, you will be involved in cutting-edge research on high-performance power converters for a variety of applications.
Candidate Requirements: We are looking for candidates with strong self-motivation and a solid academic background in electrical engineering, especially in Power Electronics.
Preferred Experience: A strong background in one or more of the following areas: power electronics, machine learning, FPGA, or SW/HW co-design. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a major or specialization in electrical engineering or other relevant engineering/science disciplines is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree and hands-on experimental experience.
This position provides full funding support, including tuition, a stipend, and benefits.
