The University of South Alabama’s Stokes School of Marine & Environmental Sciences is excited to offer the Master of Science program in Marine Conservation and Resource Management.
The program is designed for students with Bachelor degrees who want to engage in greater professional development. The program does not require a formal thesis but instead allows students to complete degree requirements through formal course work and professional training through either a professional internship, capstone project with conservation organizations and state/federal resource agencies, or skill certification such as GIS or statistics.
The curriculum and other requirements are also well suited to students currently in the workforce. Some funding opportunities are available through internships and limited scholarships are available to defray the costs of out-of-state tuition. Additional financial aid may be available through the USA Office of Financial Aid.
Applications are due by June 15 for the Fall semester and October 15 for the Spring semester, although most students start during the Fall semester.
