Yuan Ze University – PhD Candidate Position (Thin Films / Optoelectronics / Semiconductor Processing)

Candidate Responsibilities:
- Obtain the required credits through coursework.
- Receive training and become proficient in cleanroom procedures by passing necessary tests.
- Actively participate in experiments.
- Design and conduct independent experiments, performing analysis.
- Write research articles and proposals.
- Present research findings at international conferences.
- Collaborate effectively within a team.
Qualifications Expected from Ph.D. Candidates:
- A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Nanotechnology, or Materials/Electronics Engineering.
- Conference presentations or at least one journal article (though not mandatory).
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics, vacuum technology, thin film preparation (using vacuum techniques), and basic semiconductor device fabrication.
- Motivation to address scientific and practical challenges independently.
- Excellent English skills and a collaborative spirit.
Scholarship and Stipend:
- Full tuition fee exemption for doctoral candidates.
- Stipend: Approximately NT$156,000 to NT$180,000 annually, based on performance.
- Encouragement to apply for NSTE subsidies worth NT$40,000 per month for three years, based on performance.
