Ph.D. Graduate Assistantship in Plant Pathology – Spring 2025
The University of Georgia, Tifton Campus, is offering a Ph.D. graduate assistantship in Plant Pathology starting Spring 2025. The research focuses on molecular pathogenicity mechanisms of Phytophthora spp., utilizing techniques such as:
- CRISPR gene editing technology
- Gene functional analyses
- Molecular interactions and gene expression analysis
- Pathogen isolation and infection assays
Qualifications:
- M.S. degree in Plant Pathology, Plant Sciences, or related fields.
- Strong math skills for preparing chemical solutions and media.
- Knowledge and lab experience in plant pathology and molecular biology.
- Careful, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
