Motivated MS/PhD student is needed in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology

Dr. Arjun Venkatesan is looking for a motivated MS/PhD student to join my group in John A. Reif, Jr. Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at NJIT (Emerging Contaminants Research Laboratory – https://sites.google.com/view/ecrl-njit/) in Fall 2024/Spring 2025.
The potential candidate will work on the following projects:
(i) Fate & transport of emerging contaminants like #PFAS, 1,4-dioxane, and pesticides.
(ii) Wastewater surveillance of human metabolites of environmental contaminants.
The ideal candidate will have a background in environmental (analytical) chemistry, environmental/chemical engineering, or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience with emerging contaminants and/or the use of analytical instruments such as liquid/gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.
