Two PhD positions available at The University of Padua, funded by the European Union

Generation and characterization of in vivo and in vitro 3D- models for arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy

Our Research Unit in the Department of Biology in Padova University is currently seeking PhD candidates interested in joining a project focused on Arrhythmogenic Cardiomyopathy (ACM). This work will be conducted in Padova under the supervision of Dr. Martina Calore and Prof. Alessandra Rampazzo.

ACM is a genetic cardiac disease classified as one of the leading causes of sudden death among young individuals and athletes. Despite its severity, there is currently no definitive treatment available for this disorder. Our project aims to generate novel in vivo and 3D in vitro iPSC-based models for ACM, which will be served as a platform for testing innovative therapeutic approaches.

The ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in science (biology, biotechnology, or related field) and possess working experience with cell and molecular biology techniques.

Interested candidates are encouraged to contact martina.calore@unipd.it before April 30th
