We are seeking for a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher interested in working in a stimulating research environment to contribute to the development of a biosensor for early warning in virus detection within the FLUFET project (http://flufet.eu).
The Molecular Virology group (https://www.icgeb.org/molecular-virology/) operates at three levels: (i) basic virus-host cell interaction research; (ii) early warning and epidemic intelligence; (iii) development of antivirals. The group has extensive expertise in human viruses up to biosafety level 3 and collaborate intensively at the international level.
The candidate will be offered a 24-36 months’ position starting asap, with a salary of 25- 27.000 € per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
She/he must hold:
- a successful PhD degree in biochemistry or in a related field of the life sciences.
- a strong background in protein biochemistry and cell biology.
- Previous experience in molecular virology is a plus.
- proficiency in English, communication skills, teamwork attitude and a strong motivation are also important requirements.
