Fully-funded M.S./Ph.D. Positions Available in Computer Science at Özyeğin University, Turkey

Deep Learning. Computer Vision and Image Processing (Deep-VIP) and Computer Architecture and System Technologies (CAST) Labs at Özyeğin University have multiple positions for motivated graduate students (at M.S. and Ph.D. level) to join TÜBİTAK and EU funded research projects.

  • The project “Building Height Estimation from Satellite Images” has Huawei R&D Labs as industry partner and aims to develop novel deep learning-based solutions for building detection and height estimation from satellite images. The developed algorithms will be integrated into software products of Huawei for 5G network optimization and planning services.
  • The project “European ECOsystem for green Electronics (EECONE)” has 48 partners across the Europe and aims to reduce e-waste, extend the life and recyclability of e-waste, develop new tools in that regard, disseminate the best practices at European level, and further to create a strong European ecosystem in this field.

Desired Qualifications:

  • BS/M.S. degree in computer science/engineering, or electronics/electrical engineering:
  • Strong programming skills; Demonstrated ability to work on large datasets;
  • Proficiency in open-source software development tools.

Admitted candidates will receive full tuition waiver, competitive monthly stipend (from university and/or from TÜBİTAK), free dormitory room, private health insurance, a laptop, conference attendance support and scientific publication award provided by the university.
