The Liu’s lab at the Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Entomology & Plant Pathology in Mississippi State University seeks applications for a fully funded master student in Plant Pathology.
Position Summary
The incoming student will conduct research on studying the prevalence and distribution of plant-parasitic nematodes on soybean in Mississippi. Approaches include field survey, greenhouse experiments and molecular diagnosis. The incoming student is also expected to conduct field experiments on integrated management of plant-parasitic nematodes on soybean.
Start Date
Fall 2024 or Spring 2025
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in Plant Science related fields.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and to work in teams.
- Ability to conduct independent field work with a valid driver’s license.
