We are looking to hire two highly motivated and qualified candidates for two funded research positions in Structural/Earthquake Engineering focusing on steel, composite, and modular structures to join our research group in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Porto, starting in September 2024.
Minimum qualifications of the applicant:
- Master’s degree (or international equivalent) in Civil Engineering (Minor: Structural or Earthquake Engineering). In the case of being a master’s student, the applicant must be graduated before September 2024.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must meet minimum entry requirements for the Ph.D. program of the University of Porto.
- Previous research publications.
The following would be considered an asset:
- Proof of English language proficiency.
- Good programming skills (preferably Python).
- Experience with ABAQUS and OpenSEES/OpenSeesPy.
