The DFG-funded Research Training Group 2660 (RTG 2660) on the Neural Mechanisms of Maladaptive Approach and Avoidance Behavior is inviting excellent young scientists to apply for one of 13 open Ph.D. positions. These positions are set to start in November 2024 and are funded for three years, with payment based on the German TV-L scale (E13, 65%).
About the Program:
RTG 2660 offers a unique opportunity to join a strong interdisciplinary team of researchers focused on studying approach and avoidance behaviors at multiple descriptive, inferential, and analytical levels. The research program emphasizes the translation of findings from basic to applied research and from animal models to human studies.
The program is embedded in the highly active neuroscience community in Würzburg and is supported by state-of-the-art technological and methodological infrastructure. This includes facilities for experiments in animal models, human experimental studies, and research on patients. The program is complemented by seminars, courses, hands-on workshops, writing and presentation training, as well as mentoring and career development opportunities.
Qualifications:
We are seeking highly qualified students with an M.Sc. or equivalent degree in one or more of the following fields:
- Neuroscience
- Psychology
- (Neuro)biology
- Biomedical Sciences
- Biophysics
