Undergraduate research assistants: Multiple
Graduate Students
Major in Physics, Applied/Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, etc.
Good understanding of optics and photonics is required. Hands-on experience with optical experiments is preferred but not required.
A working knowledge of simulations and modeling (COMSOL, LUMERICAL, etc.) is a plus.
Passionate about working on cutting-edge research in an interdisciplinary environment with a diverse team.
Programming skills in Matlab, Python, LabView, Mathematica, etc. is a plus.
Both graduate research assistantships and Syracuse university fellowships are available.
Postdoctoral Fellows
PhD in Physics, Engineering, Materials Science, etc. Exceptional candidates from other fields are also welcome to apply.
Research experience in one of the following areas (i) quantum optics and nanophotonics and (ii) metamaterial and metasurfaces
Strong experimental skills include experience with low temperature and cryogenic systems (4K), time-resolved spectroscopy, confocal microscopy, etc.
Experience with various nanofabrication and materials characterization tools and techniques is a plus.
Highly motivated to work with an interdisciplinary team of students (Graduate and Undergraduate) as well as internal (Syracuse) and external collaborators.
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
