The University of Georgia, Tifton Campus, is offering a Ph.D. graduate assistantship in Plant Pathology starting Spring 2025. The research focuses on molecular pathogenicity mechanisms of Phytophthora spp., utilizing techniques such as:

  • CRISPR gene editing technology
  • Gene functional analyses
  • Molecular interactions and gene expression analysis
  • Pathogen isolation and infection assays

Qualifications:

  • M.S. degree in Plant Pathology, Plant Sciences, or related fields.
  • Strong math skills for preparing chemical solutions and media.
  • Knowledge and lab experience in plant pathology and molecular biology.
  • Careful, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
