Dr. Saima Hasnin, Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, is seeking a PhD student to join the Childhood Health Behavior and Sustainability Lab. The lab focuses on projects related to federal nutrition programs, childhood obesity prevention, and community-based nutrition interventions.
Key Requirements:
- Educational Background: MS in nutrition, public health, social work, exercise, or related fields.
- Skills and Experience:
- Research experience and familiarity with methods.
- Analytical skills, including statistical and nutrient analyses.
- Passion for community-engaged research.
- Experience working with children and low-income communities is preferred.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and technical abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Dedicate 20 hours/week to lab activities while developing independent research.
