PhD position in the Department of Biology at Texas Christian University (TCU), USA

A fully funded graduate research assistantship position (funded by teaching assistance) is available in the lab of Dr. Annika Nelson in the Department of Biology at Texas Christian University (TCU) starting in August 2024. The project will be centered on the population and community ecology of plant-insect or insect-microbe interactions. The project is designed to give the student opportunities to learn and apply techniques from field ecology, chemical ecology, and/or microbial ecology to answer questions about the ecology and evolution of mutualisms involving plants and insects. Opportunities for both field and lab work are available and will depend on student interest. Qualifications

The candidate should have or be expected to have (by August 2024) an undergraduate degree in biology or related discipline with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Previous research experience, ideally in ecology or a related field, is required.
