The Gharavi Lab at the University of Central Florida is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher specializing in advanced Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) techniques for the study of thin films of novel materials. The anticipated start date for this position is August 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform High-Resolution TEM (HRTEM) for structural analysis of thin films.
  • Conduct Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) for compositional analysis.
  • Utilize X-ray Diffraction (XRD) for phase identification.
  • Interpret Electron Diffraction patterns for crystallographic information.
  • Analyze and interpret data from TEM results.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in Materials Science or a related field by the time of starting this position.
