Recruitment of Ph.D. candidates in international security, nuclear policy, and energy security in the Division of Public Policy at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).

Field of Research:

Applicants should demonstrate strong interests in international security, nuclear policy, or energy security, with a background related to these fields preferred but not mandatory. As a Ph.D. student under my supervision, your research will focus on the intersection of public policy/political science and science/technology. Whether you come from a policy/political science background seeking to understand the technical aspects of transformative technologies or an engineering/physics student interested in exploring the global security implications of technology, I encourage you to apply! HKUST is a highly ranked university (THE ranking 58) with a strong international presence situated in Hong Kong. English is the primary language of instruction, research, and administration. The Division of Public Policy (PPOL) conducts interdisciplinary research on various themes related to public policy, governance, and international affairs, with a particular emphasis on science and technology. Stipend and Other Benefits:
